Call out for young artists to join us for a live recording session with a pro sound engineer and videographer!

Fellowship Fest is an opportunity for Lewisham’s emerging young artists to join us for a series of live performances on 12 June where you’ll work with a professional sound engineer and videographer to film and edit your music. All of this taking place in our new Grade II Listed community spaces above The Fellowship and Star in Bellingham.

We’re looking for

We’re looking for soloists, small groups and bands of all styles, genres and abilities to send us a recording of your performance (this should be the one you’d like to be professionally filmed) and our team of young producers will select up to 5 to join us on the day! We’d love to see a wide range of music, whether that be classical or rap, jazz or rock, psychedelic funk or cross-genre mashups. Original creations would be very welcome but covers will not be overlooked.

When and where are the live performance recordings

Saturday 12 June at our new community spaces – First Floor, The Fellowship and Star, Randlesdown Road, Bellingham, SE6 3BT

Who will be filming this project

We’ve teamed up with Entervision Films for this project, make sure you check out their amazing work!

Send us your recording by

A few important things to consider when filming

  • A nice bright space, but don’t have the camera facing into any direct light, e.g. the sun or ceiling lights.

  • A quiet space.

  • If possible use a plugin microphone for better quality sound, if you’re using your phone or iPad you can also use the headset headphones which have a mic built in, this will really improve the clarity.

  • Rest your device on a firm surface and prop it up with a stand, then adjust until you have the required shot.

  • Ideally shoot the video in landscape, but we’re not fussy.

  • The recording doesn’t need to be perfect (we’ll leave that to the pros), we just want to get a feel for what you’d perform on the day.

We look forward to hearing and seeing you soon! If you have any questions then let us know.
