We offer a wide range of music opportunities for young people across the borough that compliment the great music-making happening in schools.
We run weekly after school groups (including Lewisham Youth Concert Band), a diverse mix of groups, bands, ensembles and tuition at our Saturday Music Centre, our Creative Music Programme at The Fellowship (including music production, vocal groups and lyric writing), and one-off and specifically funded projects (including Lewisham Junior Orchestra, artist development, youth voice research, and cross-genre music collectives). There are also high quality local, regional and national opportunities run together with partner and associate organisations.
Bursaries and concession rates ensure our offers are affordable and accessible. Children and young people from all backgrounds, directed by their own creative interests, can find high quality musical experiences that will contribute to their development as rounded musicians.
