We are currently looking for enthusiastic and creative music leaders and teachers to join our team who have skills and experience in teaching the following:


  • Cello

  • Classroom Music

  • Recorder (Whole Class)

  • Trumpet

  • Voice (Choir Leader)

  • Violin


Tutors need to be able to teach from beginner level up to Grade 7/8. We will prioritise teachers with whole class ensemble teaching (WCET) experience.

This is a really exciting time to join Lewisham Music, to work with our schools and hub partners to secure the best provision and outcomes for Lewisham children and young people and their families.



Tutors will work in Lewisham maintained schools and academies, as well as in Lewisham Music after school and Saturday music centres and in collaboration with hub partners as required.



Lewisham Music Standard Music Tutor rate (inclusive of holiday pay): £28.68 per hour (unqualified) or £29.08 per hour (Qualified Teacher Status).

Temporary contract to 31 July 2018.
